I’m getting married and looking for a honeymoon destination on the pacific coast–more specifically either Oregon or Washington. My fiance and I love kayaking and whale watching–but I also enjoy the spa and fine dining..that sort of thing. It would be ideal to stay on the ocean and have an oceanview. We love moderate climates and the ocean…any suggestions?

Come to British Columbia check tourismbc tourismvancouver. Your dollar is worth more in Canada
Go to Seattle, its awesome there, or what might be somewhat cheaper and just 10-15 min. outside the city is Bellevue Wa. or Kirkland Wa. both situated on beautiful Lake Washington, right outside Seattle. Georgeous sunsets!
Why not you try come to hawaii? I know it is not the pacific coast but it is beautyful here. You can go to Honolulo or try the dazling of Kaui, that people here call the honeymoom island. And you’ll find everything here from kayaking to whale watching. You’ll find the best spas and resorts, and restaurants in USA here And the view are just take your breath away. You dont need a visa or passaport because still USA and the best time to came it is all year around.
Have a nice trip and congratulation for your wedding!

Have to agree with Grand pa. Maybe split your time between Seattle and Victoria BC. There is a ferry from Seattle and a car ferry from Anacortes WA. Victoria is romantic and has a European atmosphere about it. Vancouver is pretty cool too. You will not be disappointed!!
Why not spend your honeymoon in one of the most quaint little villages on the west coast – Depoe Bay, Oregon? They have several lodging choices for a newly married couple. Depot Bay is close to Newport, Lincoln City, Yachats, Walport, and within a day’s driving distance to Florence to the south and Astoria to the north. It has an abundance of local creatures (human, animal, and fish). You can kayak, whale watch, surf, wind surf, fish, you name it. The weather isn’t bad in the summer. The scenery is spectacular and it will be a honeymoon you will remember for a lifetime.
I live in Brookings on the southern Oregon coast, a great place to retire to, but I recommend Depot Bay for an intimate getaway. You can fly to Portland, rent a car and be there in less than 3 hours. Here is a link to get you started.
Congratulations on the marriage.
You should do a search online for vacation rentals. You get the privacy of a home all to yourself, often a hottub, and outstanding views. I have stayed at the rental you can view at this website: . Its in Brookings, Oregon. It is right on the coast near the CA/OR border. Most vacation rentals are very reasonably priced. The one in Brookings is $130-155/night for 2 people. I also recommend looking into vacation rentals in the Newport Beach and Astoria areas of Oregon. With a vacation rental, you can book your spa treatments in town and go into town each evening for a fine meal….or you can stay in, cook a meal for yourself, and take turns giving each other spa-type treatments.
