Need Boat/kayak Under 200. Plz Help?

i need to buy some type of saltwater/freshwater transportation thing. i just want to be able to fish like 30 feet from shore in the ocean on calm days, and in th lake behing my house. but i cnt spend more then 200 dollars. are ther any small kayaks or small boats tht will work for my situation. nothing blow up tho.

    Try craigslist, ebay classifieds, recycler.com or go to your local fishing shop.

    shop around for something used. Try Craislist and other online classifieds and your local paper. A canoe or kayak costs $400+… my cedar strip kayak cost me about $800 to build and took 6 months… so don’t think you can save money doing it yourself though it is a great project. There are plans for plywood canoes and kayaks (fiberglass coated of course). You might actually be able to build one for about $200 but still you will have 40-50 hours of labor at least. Kayaks arent exactly made for comfortable fishing though. Struggling with line and fish in cramped space is just inviting a hook in the ear… or whatever…
