True or False? Does Tanning Help Clear Up Acne?

I don’t tan, well what I mean is I don’t go to the tanning booth, or lay a towel down and tan.
I’m very into outdoor sports. I surf (live in California), mountain climb, play soccer, swim in the ocean, kayak, bicycle, etc. I have a good tan everywhere except my upper legs and waist, and I put on sun screen to avoid skin damage/cancer.
So I have kinda bad acne (on a scale of 1-10, a 5) and I was wondering if being in the sun helps clear up acne. Is my acne bad because sweat clogs my pores?

Some acne is on my chest, should I do sports like soccer and running without a shirt so my acne will go away? I wash my face twice a day btw, once with acne scrub, once with hot water. I have good hygiene too. What tips do you have for me? Any good products you’ve had success with?

i used to have a lot of spots then i started using toner after using cleansing face wash, it works so well! i think the sun can dry up spots but not if you sweat so maybe laying out in the sun without doing excerise might help.

    FALSE

it may cover the redness up a bit but it doesnt clear up the acne.

and the sun actually brings MORE acne i heard it on the doctors (i was shockeddd)

and sweat actually helps clear up acne so long as you are clean and take the daily shower.

All you can really do is take a shower after sweating and washing dirty clothes. Depending on the amount of oil glands on certain parts of your body, sweat can cause more or less of the breakouts. Tanning doesn’t prevent acne, it conceals it better. Pale skin makes a red zit more obvious than tan skin. I would suggest exfoliation or a special acne treatment that targets specific areas.

& Yes, Sweat clogging up your pores does cause acne. i just suggest you go to a dermatologist & get something for your acne. my brother goes & his is clearing up. dont waste your time trying everything just leave it to the pros :)

just being out it the sun dries out my spots then i can usually scratch the head off later that night and its not noticeable… maybe thats just my skin. but i also dont sweat that much around the face.
